Question

I left my roxio GameCap HD PRO sitting for a few months. I uninstalled & reinstalled the software. Then, I procedded to start it up. I entered the program "Roxio Game Capture HD PRO", & hit the CAPTURE button. The orange "Loading..." window appeared for a split second, disappeared, & I waited for over 30 minutes & got nothing, yet the "Roxio Game Capture HD PRO" window was still up. I need help! I sent the logs as .txt files so you guys can inspect & see what's going on.

You didn't notice the Error Messages and Code when the install failed???

At any rate, the 'fix' is a bit lengthy so print a copy and use it as a check list.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Download and install the
Uninstaller. Then run it in
Moderate Mode
to remove any traces of Roxio.

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

Reboot and log on to that new account.

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure
nothing
is checked!

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

Use the Default Locations!
