Cdr Playing On One Cd Player And Failed To Play On The Other

valya12

Question

Hello.

I am using Roxio Easy CD and DVD creator 10.3 105. Yesterday, I burned CD-R Memorex (52x700MB 80 Min) using Audio CD command in Roxio. It burned all 18 songs as Audio CD. However, when I gave CD-R to my friend, he was unable to access the files with his CD player as he gets the message "No disk". After inserting /reinserting CD-R into his CD player, the music started playing. Then, he turned the player off, and restarted it again, and he got the same message" No disc".

He tried to play my CD-R in his brother's CD player, and the CD perfectly worked.

What's the problem? How come it plays on one CD player and not on the other?

My friend had CD player that was made in Germany (this player is unable to play my CD). His brother's CD was made in USA and it is able to play CD.

Do you know what can be the problem and how to fix it?

I also tried music on my PC, no problem.

Please help

Thanks

That will probably be your problem. Memorex is a very 'cheap' brand of CD, and not considered the most reliable. Most of us tend to avoid it like the plague.

If you get some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden disks I think you will find they record better and are read 'first time' by more players.

Thanks Brendon!

That's what I thought that must be.
