Can't Record Higher Than 480I And In 4:3 Format

Up until now I've have been able to record in 720p and in 16:9 format but now the settings changed by itself and it's recording in 480i and 4:3 format.When I first open the capture software i get a message saying "480p is not supported". When i try to change these setting I can't because only 480i appears under options. I have my xbox connected to a splitter, one end goes to my monitor and the other goes to the capture card.

It only reports what it is Getting From your GameBox

 

That is where your problem is, you need to reset it
