Windows 8 Lap Top Install No Disc Drive

When you say, "I got the software on a memory stick" can we assume that you have the original install disc, and you used another PC to copy the entire contents onto a USB drive? If so, then you should be able to put the USB drive into your laptop, and open it with Windows Explorer, and there should be a "Setup.exe" file probably in the root folder. If you double-click on that, it should start the install. Is that what you see? And is that what you've tried? Otherwise, we need a better description of what you have and what you have tried.


You might also want to list your laptops specifications (processor model, speed, amount of memory, drive space, etc.) so we can check to see if it is capable of running this program.
