Can't Burn With Blu-Ray Option

Just downloaded Roxio Creator NXT 2 and when I click on the desktop icon it brings up the appliation. I then click the 'Create DVDs' icon. This opens Roxio MyDVD and offers me 4 options: DVD, VCD/SVCD, Blu-Ray and AVCHD. The Blu-Ray option is grayed out.

 

I assume I need the Blu-Ray option but since it's not availble I tried the AVCHD option and it kicks my disc out saying please insert valid media.

 

I am really not sure what else to do or try. Is there some other package I need to purchase? Or is it some other issue?

 

I have a LG External Blu-Ray/DVD writer (BE14), BD-R disc, and files from my Sony HD handycam on my PC with the file extension .M2TS.

See this table. The blu ray feature is built in if you have the Pro version; you must buy a plug in for the standard version.

Just in case you ask, there is no way to upgrade from the standard to the Pro.

 

You might want to talk to sales to see if you can return the standard version and get the Pro. You get the blu ray functionality and a couple more things.
