sknis
Where are you playing it - on your computer or on a DVD player?
Jim_Hardin
Nothing in the Software is capable of even doing that... Most likely it is a combination of the Length of Play, the Media you used and your Player that is causing the issue Length: Fit to disc is the poorest selection you can ever choose! A Standard 4.7 GB DVD holds about 1 hour of HQ DVD Movie. Trying to fit more on degrades Video Quality FAST! Media: Cheaper media is hard for Players to read! Generally speaking, it it does not say Verbatim (Singapore) or Taiyo Yuden (JVC), don't even let it into your home Player: An old Player or even a good quality one will have issues if either or both of the first 2 items are not met! This is why Steve asked where you played it. PC Optical Drives tend to be much better and it should work OK there Any of this apply?
bird422222
I am playing it on a Panasonic DVD player and using a HP DVD-R. Would it make a difference if I use component cables instead of Composite. I can view it on my PC and get colour.

Would it make a difference if I use component cables instead of Composite. I can view it on my PC and get colour. Since it Plays on your PC, it looks like it falls into the Media and Player area - you did not tell us the total time. How you capture makes no difference! Hello one more thing how can I change Roxio to burn in NTSC in stead of PAL. It sets that based on the installation language it finds in Windows... I would guess you did not use French (Canada)??? Using other forms of French will result in it selecting PAL. Is the DVD Movie you Burned in PAL??? If it is, how can you play it?
bimicher
Hello one more thing how can I change Roxio to burn in NTSC in stead of PAL. How do you know it is PAL? Was your source VHS PAL? I do not see any option to switch from PAL to NTSC or vice versa when burning. Under Computer you do have the option to switch formats under Advanced Settings
bird422222
In Roxio there is a file select on it only says PAL format. It is 1 hour long from a JVC camcorder. it plays on the DVD recorder but only in black and white. Do you think I should re-install Roxio? I will try and switch the composite cable with component and see if that helps and check and see if the TV settings are set to multi. Any additional information would be appreciated. Thanks Curt

bird422222
Hello I tried the DVD with a component cable on another TV and DVD and it plays in colour. I seems the yellow composite cable was not working. Thanks for you assistance. Curt
