Wondering If Roxio Creator Nxt2 Is Best For What I Need To Do

frogonaharley

Question

Greetings!

Researching Roxio products and want to make sure I buy the best product at the beginning.

I am in the process of videotaping my father (his life through the depression, WWII, and on...) and capturing him on film as much as possible.

I want to be able to edit the videos...not to do anything fancy...but just to take out those moments where we are "switching gears" and things like that.

I also want to be able to grab smaller sections so that I can share via Facebook and such.

Would Roxio Creator NXT2 be the best choice?

Thank you for your assistance!

I would use it in an instant!

Only thing that gets a bit clumsy is the part about 'grab smaller sections' to use elsewhere...

It doesn't have that built in, like a way to mark a piece and export just that piece... Actually I don't know of any editor that does

There is a way to accomplish that by Scenes, where you designate the start and end of Scenes within a clip, some explanation of that is Here

That will also show you a little bit of the Editor, VideoWave, in action ;)

No mater what you choose, it is a daunting task to be sure and you do want to keep it as simple as you can so you don't overwhelm yourself :D

What do you mean by "in the process of videotaping my father"? Do you mean you are recording your father now, sort of an interview? Or do you already have the video recorded on a camcorder or something else?

You will need to get the recorded video to your computer somehow.
