Help. Hdmi No Signal

timtebow99

Question

Hi,

The Roxio was working fine for weeks. Then all of the sudden, Roxio says no signal. The HDMI works fine with the xbox 360 and the TV but when plugging the HDMI into Roxio, it says no signal. Any ideas? Restarted everything and I still didn't work. Remember, everything was working fine before for weeks and nothing changed.....then all of the sudden...no signal ...help

WHAT says 'No Signal'???

If it is your RGC Software, What Color is it?

I do understand that it worked and now it doesn't ;)

Couple other things to know about it...

The RGC Device MUST be hooked up to a running computer that has the RGC Software installed on it for the Pass Through to work!!! (means it can't just be usb power or another PC)

Any upgrades to the TV lately?

Something has changed, think hard about that

Thank you a lot for responding! The Roxio "game capture HD pro" screen of the laptop....on the input: HDMI..... status: No signal

Then on the TV it quickly flashed "invalid format" then it says "no signal" on the TV.

The color on the actual Roxio hardware is purplish.

Good that tells us the Device IS being properly recognized and the drivers are intact ;)

It also tells us that the RGC Device IS NOT receiving a valid signal :o

Try substituting a DVD or BD Player for you Xbox as a test... My thinking is that you should get a proper picture on both your TV as well as you Laptop's Preview screen.

ok i try doing what you saId and did not work

also do you think i should try AV instead of hdmi cord

If you really meant Component Cord, I would say Sure, if you have one handy...

One thing I did not remember to mention before is that the RGC does rely on GOOD cables... What may work from your Xbox to TV may not work with the RGC. While remote, it is possible for a cable to fail over time...

But the TV likely has an RCA Yellow (composite) connection which the RGC HD does not -_-

But at least is demonstrates that the RGC will work as intended WHEN it can get a signal...

It now appears that your HDMI output from your Xbox is your problem. Make Sure you have the Xbox set to output as HDMI and not using auto sensing.
