Menu styles
Just downloaded Toast 11.2 after having toast 10. I no longer have menu options available except splash. Where did they go? I trashed the plist but the menu styles does not show up.
tsantee
I suggest running the Toast installer again. Toast should be seeing the menus that are installed in the Application Support folder of your User Library. I vaguely recall there being someone posting about this a long time ago. You might search the forum to see if there is any other topic from a couple years ago. It could be a permissions issue so I suggest using Disk Utility to repair permissions. tsantee
The menu styles other than Splash are located in the Root>Library>Application Support>Roxio>Toast Menu Styles folder. Is that folder present on your Mac? If so, check if the folder has Read & Write permissions.
lud
I get after the upgrade only 4:3 menu styles, even for High-Def DVD, although in the Toast Menu Styles folder there are 4:3 and 16:9 styles. I had that problem last September when I upgraded from 10 -> 11. Roxio support then pointed me to a different download, not the one that came with the purchase and then it worked. If I now open an existing 16:9 disc, I can see the 16:9 menu styles and starting a new project with the assistant still shows the 16:9 styles. But quitting 11.2 and opening again, the 16:9 styles are gone.

The only thing I can think of is to trash the Toast plist and prefs files in your User>Library>Preferences folder and relaunch Toast. Those files get corrupted easily. Access your user library by holding down the Option key while selecting the Go menu in the Finder.
lud
Thank you, Digital Guru, for the suggestion. Unfortunately it did not resolve my problem. I guess I'll install the previous version from the backup disk.
lud
Solution to my problem: Under Menu Styles -> Customize -> Aspect Ratio I have to select "Show All" then all 4:3 and 16:9 styles are available. This is not the case with the setting "Automatic".
nalber
I just bought Toast 11 Pro for Mac. This is my first experience with Roxio. Everything seems to work fine, but my menu styles are missing (I only see the splash screen). I've tried reinstalling, repair disk permissions, uninstalled the software and reinstalled from scratch.... Nothing appears in the /Library/Application Support/Roxio or Library/Application Support/Roxio folders. I can't get roxio support because they haven't sent me a support number after I registered. Is there a way to manually copy the menu styles to the appropriate folder?
tsantee
I don't know why those wouldn't be installed. I suggest going to Roxio's Software Updates page and download the Toast 11.2 update. It is the full installer for the standard Toast 11 bundle. Maybe something was wrong with the installer file you used.
Menu styles
I see the sales menu folder but the only things in it no menu and splash. Any way to get the additional menu styles in it?
Menu styles
I solved the styles by copying the menu styles from the Toast 10 folders.
tsantee
I solved the styles by copying the menu styles from the Toast 10 folders. That's odd. The Toast 10 menu styles are within the Toast application package whereas the Toast 11 styles other than Splash are installed in the root library. So it works to substitute the Toast 10 styles for the Toast 11 ones? Interesting. Now I'm wondering if the Toast 11.2 update is missing the menu styles so the reason I have mine is from a previous Toast 11 installation. Addendum: I just checked the Toast 11.2 installer package and the menu styles are included. It's very strange they aren't being installed in your root>Library>Applications Support>Roxio folder. bohalloran
The post below from Lud works perfectly. I now see ALL the menus, where having automatic does NOT show them. I don't know why, but it does make a difference. "Solution to my problem: Under Menu Styles -> Customize -> Aspect Ratio I have to select "Show All" then all 4:3 and 16:9 styles are available. This is not the case with the setting "Automatic".
Wilsongarr
I had to go back to the Drive running Mountain Lion and copy the Toast Menu Styles folder (User/Library/Application Support/Roxio) and paste it into the same location on the Yosemite Drive. Now I have all the menu styles back.
