Toast V11 Upgrade

Wils9

Question

Hi

I am a Mac v10.6.8 user and I seem to be having a hard time with upgrading form Toast 10.0.9 to v11.

I paid for the v11 update and a link and the serial number was sent to me. I installed the new HD update with serial, and it said -

all features are unlocked.

When I boot up Toast v10 it askes me for the serial again and when I put that in and it boots up. It is still v10 and I still cannot get the blu ray to work, it says I have to upgrade to V11.

I cannot find a customer support email

Although I paid for an upgrade to V11, it looks like the download link that was sent to me is a blu ray plugin only and not the Toast 11 Titanium application.

I just noticed it says - Welcome to the Toast HD/BD plugin installer this plugin will enable Toast 11 Titanium to author to blu ray.

Why would they send me that - Do you know if the blu ray burner plugin works with Toast v10 ?

Do you know the customer support email

Maybe you bought the plugin and not Toast? They are sold separately unless you buy Toast Pro. The Blu-ray plugin sells for $19.99. If you paid more than that then you did buy Toast 11 and should have received a registration key for it. The full Toast 11.2 package can be downloaded from Roxio's Software Updates page. The Toast 11 Blu-ray plugin does not work with Toast 10.

I was guided to the download link after I pressed on make blu ray in Toast 10 and the link said upgrade to Toast 11, and yes it was $19.99 with a registration key.

Well at least I know whats going on now.

Ok thanks for confirming Eugene

I am absolutely brand new to Roxio Products and Toast. I recently purchased a MacBook Pro 15" and a

LG external USB3 Blu-ray burner (Super Multi Blue BE14). I heard Toast 11 Titanium was the way to go for

authoring so bought it... only to discover there is a Pro version (sigh) and that there is a purchasable plugin

for $19.99 I can purchase (sigh).

Sooooo here are my questions:

Can I upgrade my Toast 11 Titanium to the Pro version, if so how? Does the Pro version include the High-Def/Blu-ray disc plugin

that I would normally would have to purchase extra??

thanks in advance for any help.

If you bought Toast 11 directly from Roxio/Corel they have a 30-day refund policy. Return the one you bought and then buy the Pro version. If this isn't an option for you then buy the Blu-ray plugin to use with the version you bought. Yes, the Blu-ray plugin is included with the Pro version. The Toast application itself is no different between the versions; just the extras that come with the Pro version.

Installing Toast 11 does not delete Toast 10. So you need to open the Toast 11 application that's in the Toast 11 Titanium folder that's in the Applications folder. If you want to create Blu-ray video discs you also need the Toast 11 Blu-ray plugin which is a separate installer bundled with Toast 11 Pro or sold separately. It merely enables those features in the Toast application.

The free update to Toast 11.2 can be downloaded from Roxio's Software Updates page. This replaces the contents of the Toast 11 Titanium folder. The extra apps and Blu-ray plugin you got with the Pro version are unchanged by this update.
