Nxt Pro 2 Not Installing

I baught the NXT Pro 2 download upgrade from Creator Pro 2012 .. got the download manager and ran it ..when all downloaded I started to unzip the file starting with disc 1 it went through its pace . ( unzipping / wait for installer / do you want to check for update ../ Creator Pro 2012 was found and need to be uninstall yes or no.../ installation wizard ../ user agreement / install location/ complete installation ..yes / installation window ..) then this one desapear and nothing happen ..I contacted support who first told me to turn off the antivirus ( I have only microsoft security essential ..) so I turn it off .. still same up to window installation which again desapear .

 

Now the next answer I got was and I quote " We have no quick fix for this type of issue, as it is very rare. In such cases, it is most likely a problem with the operating system."

Now woud some body have any idea f what is going on ..ad wold hae a solution for myproblem .I use window 7 ( 64 bits)

I find their OS Answer a little odd...

 

I would do it this way... Unzip the downloaded files Program and Content.

 

Then install using this process:

 

Download and install the

Revo

Uninstaller. Then run it in

Moderate Mode

to remove any traces of Roxio.

 

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

 

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

 

Reboot and log on to that new account.

 

In that folder where you stored the un-zipped Program files, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

 

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure

nothing

is checked!

 

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

 

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

 

Use the Default Locations, don't get creative!

Hi , thanks for your answer and sorry for getting back late but I was trying several things....first as I have a laptop with window 8 and no Roxio on it I tried to install NXT Pro 2 and there was no problem.. so I went back to my pc , uninstall Roxio 2012 pro with revoininstaller , turn of window firewall and Microsoft security essential and tried to install NXT Pro 2 and it did install without a problem ..not even to have to create another account and so on ..it is working perfectly

thanks for your help it was vey much appreciated ... as for support I just email them saying I got more help from the forum and that the solution was not that "hairy" and they could take note of it if there was another case like this !!!!

Support personnel often lack the years of experience that a lot of us have but I will say the ones I have dealt with here really do try to get it done and done right
