DDP
I have an AVI file which I'm trying to convert to Apple TV and Toast indicates that the "AVI File is not supported" ? This is the first time an AVI file doesn't work on Toast 11 when trying to convert, all other avi files do work! ?
theoldarchiver
You could check the start of the file with a hex editor. A true AVI file should always start with the same identifying 4 bytes: RIFF (ascii) / 52 49 46 46 (hexadecimal). You could check the content of the AVI in a movie properties inspector, like VideoSpec, iMediaHUD, MediaInfo, or Media Inspector. These should list the codec details, which might give a clue (the differences) to why this file is unsupported, when other AVI files were supported.
