Question

I have been using Creator for years and enjoyed it. I have a new up todate system with win7 and figured its time to update the burning software, went out and pick up Roxio NXT used it a few time no problem, made some DVD family movies of the vacation no issues. Now the mother in-law gave me some files .avi and roxio seems to be crashing, most of the time when I click burn. I tried some other files I had some .avi and other .mp4 and the same thing crash... I am still trying to work my over this issue. Came here and started looking up issues, seem to be lots..... so what does this come to.

A problem with lots of systems or a problem with bad software, and ifs its the software then why doesn't Adobe fix it?

Almost better off just giving up and buying the nero at this point.

Sorry about the mix up..... Corel your right.

The .avi is about 3hours long, the one the mother in-law give me .avi was 1.5 hours both were not high quality and the other ones .mp4 where about 1hour long or less.

I have done this before with no issues, the same thing..... so I don't understand, nothing changed system wise but it doesn't work...

I'm not here to get help, but to ask if this is a on going thing with NTX that the company doesn't want to do anything with....in that case I may start doing some reading on Nero.... I don't see why companies put out a program with issues and then go to the buyers of that program and say basiclly to them "you fix, you spend the time on the forums and screw around" if thats the case then screw it, my additude is everyone download it and steal it the company is stealing from you... and its not just Corel NXT but all of these companies... and I buy all programs \ movies \ and do as much as i can on the up and up.

sorry for the rant

You state that you used the program several times without issues and now you are having problems with some files. That means that there is no problem with the software but with your video source files. There are 100's of different avi "flavours" and not all of them are compatible with Roxio. You may have to use 3rd party software to convert them to acceptable formats

A standard 4.7GB DVD can only hold 60 minutes of best quality video. Trying to squeeze such long videos will give you poor quality at best and create all sorts of other problems.
