I've tried every thing I can think of, and of corse there's no customer service unless you pay for it, I'm hoping for some help. I'm able to download to video from my old hi 8 camcorder, but when I try to make a dvd it tells me Failed to start the image writing operation while Burning Image

It would help if you were to explain exactly what you are doing or even what do have done so far. All you have posted is "it doesn' work".

How did you capture (not download) the video from your camcorder? How long in time is the video you haptured and are trying to burn? What program are you using to burn?

 

The error is usually related to the burner or the media being used. What make of DVD are you using?

 

You could first burn to an iso (image) file and the play that file with a software player such as VLC to see if it was created correctly the iso file can then be burned to a DVD using the Burn Image file to disc option or with a 3rd party program such as ImgBurn.
