"capture" And "edit & Share" Buttons Not Working

Question

ive already used the software once to do a test run of my recording. it worked fine, i went downstairs, came back up and now i can open up the launch pad but now neither the "capture" or the "edit & share" buttons work, totally lost on what on earth could be wrong. any ideas at all??

 

also there have been no error messages at all. HELP!!!

so ive had some issues with the capturing, ive used the program a couple of times and worked fine, but now ive tried using it a fourth time and not worked, ive repaired it, uninstalled it all, re installed it, and now the edit & share button works, but the capture button doesnt, help anyone??

I put them together :wacko:

 

This is extensive, but it what I suggest...

(add Nothing - skip Nothing!)

 

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

 

Download and install the
Uninstaller.

Then run it in
Moderate Mode
to remove any traces of Roxio.

 

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

 

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

 

Reboot and log on to that new account.

 

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

 

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

 

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure
nothing
is checked!

 

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

 

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

 

Use the Default Locations!
