Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Download and install the
Uninstaller. Then run it in
Moderate Mode
to remove any traces of Roxio.

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

Reboot and log on to that new account.

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure
nothing
is checked!

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

Use the Default Locations!

It seems to be a very complex action needed :o

I have a similar problem when I try to use my

Roxio Video Capture USB with

Roxio Creator NXT Pro:

Shortly after starting Roxio Media Import the system crashes, blue screen appears with message "dumping physical memory to disc".

I have installed the RoxioVideoCaptureUSBDriver_KM00EXD0SQA, which I have downloaded from Roxio, but it seems that Windows installs another driver as well.

My system is

Dell XPS L502X

Intel Corei7

GB Ram

Windows 7 Ultimat 64 bit

I hope that you can advice a simpler solution to my problem

I followed information here on the same issue. No resolution to problem.

Roxio was working fine for me awhile back. But my system crashed and had to get a new HDD and reload everything back onto it. Loaded up GCP HD and started getting blue screen issues after awhile using it. And I too noticed the blue screen when removing USB. Or sometimes after trying to stop a recording.

Did all the re-install with the new Admin account creation and all. (seems like overkill though, makes no sense seeing that my other account is already an Admin?) And it actually appears to be worse now then it was before. Even getting graphical pixelation in capture screen.

Another thing I noticed. It did download updates when I searched but still says version 1.0 instead of 1.1? And when I download the 1.1 patch myself and try to update it says it can't find the Game Capture Pro HD and to re-install and try again.... each time!

I am going to try and do a reload without update this time as it seemed to have more stable then at least? Hate to have to go the Win 7 route as it is a memory hog.

Also your advice on using Revo was less then informational. I am assuming after running the scan to accept delete on ALL items?

One last thing to add on. I notice that when running Gamecapture pro hd that it has a few instances of it running in the task manager. And if I close out of it after using then it still is in my task manager as a process. Previously before having issues I always had links on my desktop to the capture program and editor. This allowed me to avoid launchpad process eating up any resources. This used to be a better issue. ut it still kept gamecapture in process after exiting it.

Did the re-install without the updates and it is working. So if anyone is having similar issues then try it to possibly resolve their issue?

Nobody is saying RGC is an issue itself, they are saying it is an issue with their particular system setup. So saying to test it on another PC is just facetious at best and ignorant at worst. As obviously if a person is having issue with it on their PC then putting it on another PC does little to resolve issues on their PC.

Clearly you have it all figured out...

Nothing I could do is going to make any difference to you ~ best of luck -_-
