arcanix
I've had my computer for about 3 years or so, I never had a problem with roxio, in fact it came with my dvd burner. I reformated about 1 month ago and after I installed roxio, my cd drive and dvd burner no longer read cd's or dvd's, I can't burn anything either. If i put a cd or dvd in the drive and double click it, it will say "pls insert disc" if i uninstall roxio, then my drives work again. ive tried the updates but those didnt work either. the drives all show up in my computer, but they jsut wont read any disc's when roxio is installed. lynn98109
Try disabling Drag2Disc. Or modifying the installation to remove Drag2Disc. It is probable it is grabbing the burner. In fact, if you have a formatted disc in the drive, try removing that and see if that works before taking the above steps. Packet-Writing (Drag2Disc, DirectCD, Nero's InCD, Sonic's DLA, etc) is only good for permantly LOSING information anyway, so it won't hurt to remove it.
