Trouble Live Streaming And With Obs

Question

I have set up my live stream through twitch TV (justin.tv) on my old PC running windows XP and it worked, but in low resolution due to my PC being so outdated. I have since upgraded and built a new tower with Windows 8. It has plenty of power and my internet connection is plenty fast I believe, 16 download 5 upload, but now I cannot get it to stream. In the program is shows everything is running fine, but on twitch it never loads up. I did everything the same as I did on my old PC and its not working for me.

 

So then I downloaded OBS to see if that would make a difference. Everything loads into OBS, but I just get a black screen. I tried the stream to see if it just was black and the program and it went live on twitch but still had the blank screen. Is this an Issue with the card and Windows 8 or am I just messing something up some how?

So is it getting fixed? Or patched ever? I can't pretend to know what they are doing or planning. I can't stream with the native software, obs has a black screen, 2 weeks ago I had to do a factory default to get the card to display anything in the preview, I can't update my software it says its up to date, and I have my firewall and anti virus off anytime I use this card. I asked support and they didn't say anything to me the whole duration of the two weeks of free support service. People are still clearly buying their cards, but are they doing anything to solve the problems?

 

Also, why do they have users do their support for them?

Roxio does not have users do support for them. Every major software program has a users forum where users discuss problems and solutions.

So I take it they are in no hurry to fix the issue then?

 

What happened to the guys post that actually explained why it is not working??

The thread was deleted, seems he has been banned from the forum. Given the last post I saw by him was one of him asking the moderator why the mod was making false accusations in his direction (and proof of such), I think a certain mod is trying to cover up their actions (especially given that in the thread which was deleted the guy who explained everything was not the OP).
