Stop Roxio Game Capture Hd Pro Stop Lagging

I record my footage onto my laptop from the roxio game capture HD pro. The laptop has 4gb of ram, but sometimes when I look at the playback it sometimes lags a little bit. Do you think that if I put more ram into the laptop it would stop the lag? If so, how much more should I put in? (The laptop goes up to 8gb of ram)

My base score is 3.5

So is there a way to get rid of the lag?

Maybe??? 3.5 is not the best number to have.

 

And the rest of the info? Most of the CPU & stuff is right there when you press Win-Pause. Video Card/Chip in Device Manager and HDD Free space from My Computer

 

Just to be sure, you are talking about lag in the recorded file?

 

What game box are you recording from - how is it hooked up?
