Won't Start Up In Windows 8.1 - Split From Hijacked Thread

I'm trying to run Easy VHS to DVD-3 Plus on an Acer- Aspire ZS-600-Windows 8.1 (64 Bit). I have repaired & Uninstalled & re-loaded this software. This product will not start up. I double click on the Icon, get the Roxio Banner and there it stops, becomes Non- responsive. I have to shutdown & re-boot! What do I do! CaN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!

Please provide the full specs on your computer - there are several possible CPU that come in it. I think you can still do this in W8. If so post the results of the dxdiag evaluation for it.

 

Did you install the program with your antivirus active? Did you install the capture device BEFORE you installed the program. Both are bad ideas.

Okay! I tried to run dxdiag.exe; the green bar goes to about 40%, then stops. I try to save all; it also goes to a point of about 40% and stops. Now what? Yes installed with Windows defender on. I didn't have the VHS connected. Now what!

If you can't run a dxdiag, then you have more problems than you can shake a stick at.

Is this the process you are using to obtain the information (link)?

 

I don't know what is causing it to stop at 40%. It might be time to talk to Acer or Microsoft.. I agree with Bruce. You have other problems. I Googled for the problem and at least one other person has posted the question with no response yet.

 

Are all your other programs working properly?
