Cannot Connect, But My Internet Is Fine

I have a new windows 8 computer. I installed my PC Game Capture but it wont start because it keeps telling me "Please check your internet connection". My internet is fine, is there anyway to bypass WeGame and capture offline and or does anyone know how to fix this problem?

PC Game capture is of course no longer supported by Roxio and is not compatible with W8

 

I have the same problem and it's a shame if PC Game Capture isn't supported by Roxio anymore. I paid more for this program than I did for FRAPS, Game Cam, or PlayClaw, and that's because it was the only one that had a built-in editor; but then again, that only matters if PC Game Capture works to begin with.

Did you try it on a Windows 7, Vista, or Windows XP computer?

It didnt. The post says click continue when prompted for a password, I never got prompted for a password or an account. It just gives me the error.
