Cd Drive Won't Load The Disk

Woodddyyyy

Question

I know this doesn't have anything to do with the product itself, but my CD drive just won't load the disk. I've even tried to use an external drive thinking it was my CD drives fault, but still no luck. What do you guys recommend I do to get the software I need to start capturing.

So, what happens if you open Windows Explorer and look at the disc? Do you see files? If you see something like, "Setup.exe" on the disc, double click that and see what happens.

What happens if you put a different disc in these same drives? Can you see them in Windows Explorer?

The fact that nothing pops up by itself doesn't indicate much of anything, except it's not activating any sort of auto-install, but doesn't imply that the disc isn't readable.

I've tried 3 other disks and nothing comes up. Not even in Windows Explorer.

Walt, that's what led me to my initial thought of a bad disc since that disc didn't work in two different drives. But, if he's not able to read 3 different discs in the drives, then you're right, something else is broken.

Woodddyyyy, something else you could try, take your disc to a friend's house, and have him/her copy the contents to a USB flash drive. Hopefully your system will let you access that, and then you can install from the flash drive.
