Classic Creator12 Will Not Open

I installed Classic Creator 2012 from the Roxio Creator 2010 disc on a newer computer after the previous computer crashed. The current (and previous) computer used Windows XP. I had no problems with the program on the old computer but it will not open on the current computer. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still will not open. Any suggestions?

My best guess is that your new computer might be running Windows 8? If so, you'll need to get the most recent version of Creator, because Creator older versions won't run. If that's not the case, tell us more about your computer and what version of Windows you're running.

I installed Classic Creator 2012 (came out in 2011) from the Roxio Creator 2010 disc (came out in 2009)

 

How is that possible?

 

Creator 2012 and Creator 2010 are two different standalone software suite!

Okay, regardless of the fact that Creator 2010 and Creator 2012 are completely different versions, and one would not be included on the other's CD, are you getting an error message when you try to open it? What is exactly is the message? (And by "exactly" I mean, verbatim what is on the screen, not paraphrased.)

Either you have Creator 2012 on a disk OR---Creator 2010 on a disk. But both not on a single same disk.

Please explain if so, where did you get that single disk ?

Simple confusion of numbers, I think.

EMC10 had Creator 10

C2009 had Creator 11

C2010 had Creator 12

Good observation Brendon but whatever version the OP has, each version he has is on a single disk. Maybe the OP can reply now with that information you suggested Brendon and can tell us what he actually has.
