Toast 11 Won't Update --Gives Signature Error?

BryanMichael

Question

I recently bought Toast 11 Titanium and every time I open it now it tells me there's an update. I click to download the update but then when it tries to load it tells me the signature is corrupted and improper? What does that mean, and why won't it let me update -- I paid for a full version of Toast 11 and I should get my money's worth. Anyone have this same problem and know of a solution? I tried contacting Roxio, but no response from them. Even paid the $9 for a support ticket but no reply in a week.

Thanks!

Bryan

There are other posts here about this issue. Rename the existing Toast 11 Titanium folder and then run the installer. There seems to be a permissions issue preventing Toast from overwriting the existing folder with the new one.

Is there a way to uninstall all of. Roxio? And than reinstall by going to the roxio website and go to downloads? The reason I am asking is I have roxio toast 11 pro. I had the 11.1 but than it would not update to the 11.2 so I went to the roxio website and I clicked on the download but I did not rename the older one. I was unsure how to rename the old one and so I think it did overwrite it but it says I have 11.2. But if I rename the old one for ex. Toast 11 pro old.dmg and than the new one I would leave alone?

I have read a lot of posts as well

That say go to the website and download the update

Than open the folder

Than. Hold down the cntrl key and or right click it and than install it?

Confused don't really know what to do

I have the same problem with updating to 11.2(3175). It didn't work even after I renamed the folder and/or the app itself. I even tried to download the update from Roxio and when I clicked on the installer there is an error message saying `"install Toast 11.pkg" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer'.

I'm sorry that Roxio/Corel has made this so convoluted. You can rename the existing Toast 11 Titanium folder in the Finder by clicking on the folder name, waiting a moment and then clicking again. This highlights the text and you simply have to change the text in some way. Alternatively, you can just drag the folder to the trash as long as you didn't place any of the Pro-version extra apps in that folder; otherwise they would be lost.

There are two errors people are encountering. One is the unidentified developer that is fixed by going to the Security panel in System Preferences and allow apps downloaded from "anywhere." The other is the signature issue which is fixed by renaming the existing Toast 11 Titanium folder so the installer doesn't have to update the existing folder.
