Double Pictures In Slideshow

katfrock

Question

I have created a slideshow in the EMC8.05 Slideshow Assistant. When I play the preview, the pictures are off center, or double, and/or streaky (like a negative, sort of).

What is causing this? I thought it would correct itself when I burned the DVD, but the pictures are still double and off center, but not streaky. Help!

Have you tried using VideoWave for the production? Do you see the same results? Please post your computer specs. As you already found out, preview is not a good indication of final quality. I will probably get some to complian about the following but V8 does require more from a video card. Please update the drivers for yours. In Video Wave, open tools/options and see if the program has defaulted to hardware or software. Run the test. If it is and was hardware, and if you do not have a bunch of fancy transitions, check software mode and run preview.

The pictures are distorted in Videowave, when I play the preview. They are fine in the thumbnails.

I have a Gateway Pentium 4 , 1.8ghz, Video is Intel 82845G.

As grandpabruce said in his post, your on-board video card is the problem. I have the same Intel chip on my board and have installed another Video Card and everything works. Updating the drivers and installing DirectX 9c is not enough, since the chip is not compatible with some of the DirectX 9c functions, especially 3D related.
