Can I Save A Project Without Exporting Or Burning A Dvd?

Question

I would like to close and come back, edit, and finish my project later. Do I just close EVDP3 down or is there somewhere I need to select to save the project? Thanks!

It is a bit odd in that it asks for a Project Name as you start but no provision to Save or Save As later...

It still saves using its' own name and that project is available when you start or through File Open ;)

Thank You Jim! I assume after I export, I can reopen the MPG file and edit that, correct? Also, how do I break down the video clips into different links when I burn it on the DVD? Also, can I do the same with when I open it on the computer or do I only have this option (if it is an option) on the DVD?

That Option, Export to File, is available for every choice EXCEPT a DVD -_-

What I am talking about to break a file into several parts is tedious but actually almost every video editor requires something like this...

Let's say we want 4 clips for our Menus...

Start a New Project and call it Clip One.

Import MAIN FILE - use trim and remove everything but what you want in the First clip - Export to Computer.

Start a New Project and call it Clip Two.

Import MAIN FILE - use trim and remove everything but what you want in the Second clip - Export to Computer.

Start a New Project and call it Clip Three.

Import MAIN FILE - use trim and remove everything but what you want in the Third clip - Export to Computer.

Start a New Project and call it Clip Four.

Import MAIN FILE - use trim and remove everything but what you want in the Forth clip - Export to Computer.

Start a New Project and call it whatever you want.

Import all files Export to DVD.

Good idea to have a pad and pencil and outline it before you start, then check off each step as you go!

Thanks Again! I am trying to trim and I have done it before but currently, I will place the trim points and when I do it grays out the Trim Button so I can't trim it. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

I don't follow that at all as there is NO Trim Button

You set the trim points and the "trim" takes place when you Export.
