Tubby
Please can you help I have had roxio for years. In 2011 we had a new PC and ordered Roxio NXT for that PC. I use this for photos, making to slide shows and adding to a DVD with menus. This has always suited me fine being software I have found easy to use the the upgrade should have been a smooth transition. I have made one DVD with one video of my niece on, which was easy and worked. I then made one but had to put to two DVDs our Florida holiday I am and was disappointed that the Florida photos went on 2d disks as it doesn't work as I want. This year though I have encountered two issues which I hope you can assist me with 1 - New Holiday DVD 2013 I made 8 short photo slide shows and put them to a DVD. Everytime this got to 50% it closed down Roxio. I have tried it on all speeds, the file sizes are: The overall disc was: It had capacity on the disc still so Roxio said but wouldnt burn 1195KB, 810KB, 1124KB, 900KB, 865KB, 1749KB, 1134KB, 1101KB Whole disk total size 12730KB I had to split it to 4 disks but its not the point, why ??? 2 - Back up DVD I backed up some Roxio files I have made previously which have been saved to DVD. I cant find one DVD but I thought that will be ok, I backed up my computer. I plugged in the external hard drive, saw the photos and the files... When I open it its all symbols like below. How can I get the Roxio saved short videos, saved to a whole menu suite with music previously burnt to disk re burnt to a disk? I don't understand why it is not working as I wish or I have used before, its newer the PC is a high capacity powerful gaming PC so more than able to deal with this. Years a go I even made a DVD from a film and photos and it all wored. I am so upset as its taken hours and it just doesn't work as I wish it would. Please can you help me? Thanks Mrs Kennedy? I am sorry but I don't understand most of your post. Exactly what is it you are trying to do: simply archive your photos, create a video slideshow or what? Ecactly how are you doing it? Perhaps a step-by-step description would help. "1195KB, 810KB, 1124KB, 900KB, 865KB, 1749KB, 1134KB, 1101KB Whole disk total size 12730KB I had to split it to 4 disks but its not the point, why ???" I have no idea what the above text in quotes is supposed to mean/show? What are the numbers? You "backup DVD" section is also very confusing? What symbols are you talking about? Jim_Hardin
Disc Authoring is based on time TIME Files sizes have nothing to do with it.
