Is This Possible?

Question

Hi!

I made a video wave production 10 years ago in 2004. I think that I used Roxio Creator 7.5. I would like to update this as the family has changed in the last 10 years, but I do not still have the computer that had the program that I made this video on. I do have the disc that I made. Can I use that disc & be able to edit the slide show or do I need to just make another slide show  ? I now have Roxio Creator NXT. Thanks!!!

If you just made a "Videowave" production you won't see any VOB files unless you also made a DVD of that production. Videowave production that were saved have a file extension of "DMSM", while a DVD production saved has a file extension of "DMSD" Which do you have ?

You should be able to just copy the contents to a new folder on your computer.. You should see VOB files, Info files etc. The VOBb files are mpg2. You should be able to bring the VOB files into Video Wave and edit them as well as adding the new family members just like you did in the past. I've dome this and it is pretty tricky if you want to add new images any of the files. You would cut the file in the transition areas, and add that new image. and then add the new transition.

Good luck ! BTW, If you still have the images on your computer, it might be easier and quicker to remake the slide show.
