Limit To Resolution Output For Nxt?

JeffNJ

Question

I just purchased Creator NXT. My objective is to edit an MP4 HD video stored on my hard drive, then output the result back to my hard drive, still in MP4 format, and preserving the original resolution.

The source video is 1280 x 720. But the best resolution I can achieve for output is 720 x 480, which I get by picking the best iPad setting from the "All" category. (As confirmation of the loss of resolution, the original video fills the MediaPlayer screen, while the output video is smaller, with a black border surrounding it.)

Is NXT capable of 1280 x 720 MP4 output to the hard drive? If not, is there a Roxio product that *can* do it?

Thanks.

When you start a new project in Video Wave, be sure to select wide screen (16 by 9) from the file menu. When you go to burn the project the high definition options will now be listed. You might want to select "Same as Original" if it is available.

Upscaling the video resolution (to 1080) might result in poorer results.

In Videowave under All there is a "iPad HD" at 1280x720 available as well as the "Same as Original"
