Plug And Burn No Color

Ken C

Question

I purchased Creator NXT Pro 2 and the USB Video Capture. When I use Plug and Burn to create a copy from my Hi8 camcorder I am able to play the video fine on my PC. But when I play it back on the LG DVD player connected to my TV, it is in black & white (no Color). I took all the defaults for the copy. I purchased Memores Dual Layer DVD+R disks. Any Ideas?

Memorex is considered by most to be a good dumpster liner...

If you play that DVD on your PC do you have color?

Still it would be better to do this the right way ;) (nobody that captures and burns uses P&B)

Above P & B is Capture Video, use that and do a short capture. (note where it is going to save it)

Then Open Edit Video - Advanced and add your captured file to VideoWave.

Got Color?

(if you have a dvd rw disc, it would be good) Now go to MyDVD (button on the top bar at right)

MAKE SURE it is set to High Quality not Fit to Disc, and burn your project.

When I play the newly burned DVD on my PC I do have color.

I used P & B because I am capturing 2 Hours of video and do not have enough room on my hard drive for the file.

I do select High Quality when I burn the disk.

If you do not have room for 2 hours of mpg video on your hard drive you should not even be attempting to do any video work.

Oh yes you do... P & B Captures to your HDD, it can't capture to optical media...

What it does is create a VR Project (not finalized) but it has been years since they allowed MyDVD to import/edit one ;)

Your HDD have 14 GB open?

If you capture DV HQ you only need 7 GB and I am allowing another 7 GB for working room.
