hondarider
This is probably a dumb question. I bought a new Dell laptop running Windows 8. I edit and burn videos using a Mac on Toast 11. What program do I get for my laptop so I can view what I've burned onto disc? Thanks for any help. tsantee
What setting were you using in Toast to create the discs?
hondarider
I'm not sure, here is what I think you want. The preference settings are NTSL, F4V, Apple TV Best, Mpeg-4 AVC 8 Mbps, HD DVD Video. I hope this is the information you need to help.

The setting where there is Apple TV Best is the Video Files setting in the Toast Convert window. That doesn't burn discs but instead saves videos to the hard drive. So I don't know what you're doing. If you have Toast with the Blu-ray plugin and are burning a HD video or Blu-ray video then you can play those videos using Roxio Video Player that's available via the Toast Extras menu. Maybe that answers your question.
hondarider
OK I see what you are getting at. It seems that I would have to buy Toast for Windows to view on the laptop. I have Toast for the Mac on my iMac. Thanks for your help.

So you are wanting to view some kind of video disc burned with Toast on a PC. Try VLC Media Player.
