Very simple. Right click on the image you don;t want and select to change the thumbnail. The production video will show up in a small window so you can select the one you want.

Have you considered making the menu a motion menu? There is also a box to watch the animated menu.

BTW. many of us output the production to a mpg2 for DVD best quality video file from Video Wave.. If there is an issue with the project the encoding will stop. You can look about when it happens and go back to edit that spot. Once you have the video files, then you can open MyDVD and add it (and any others you want. In the long run, this saves timebecause you don;t have to go thhrough the entire process only to find out you have a problem in the production.

I'm not sure I'm doing it right. I want slide 1 of the Videowave production to open the movie, but I want slide 8 to be the button image on the MyDVD title page. I have no problem in deleting the slide 1 from the button, but am unable to paste the slide 8 image in its place. Using NXT 2, version 15.05.02. I would think it's simple, but the paste order Is not working in MyDVD. What am I doing wrong?

Yes - tried your suggestion. I completed a VideoWave production using about 200 slides. After saving the Videowave file, I went to Output and selected export to MyDVD.

Screen comes up with a pre-selected Title page with Image button, title box and production box. Image button is showing the first slide of my VideoWave production. Using right click deletes it, but cannot enter any new image from the production. In fact, I can not see any of the VideoWave images when the title page is open.

I can complete and burn the DVD with no problem if I keep the button with slide number 1, but I want a different slide on the movie intro. Am I being clear?

Right-click on the image in the box and from the drop-down menu select Show Settings. The settings window opens, select source and then file. Then navigate to the image or photo file you want to use.

Generated a satisfactory work-around changing the order of photos in videowave, but never did get to successfully change the button image using show settings and file. When I opened file, did not see the dmsm images. Will put this aside for awhile. Thanks for your help.

Since you have not really explained the process that you followed it is hard to see where you are going wrong. The process I described above will allow you to change the image in the "box" to any photo or video. You cannot use the dmsm file at this point. This file does not contain any video or photo at all but is simply a list of instructions.

I think I know what he is after but I'll be darned if I can find a way to do it???

I seem to recall that you could pick the specific Picture you wanted to be associated with the Menu...

It is available in Chapter Menus:

But I do not believe it was ever possible on the Main Menu...

The 'work around' would be to take the picture or pictures you want it to show and create a separate video clip with them! - make it about 20 seconds in duration which is the normal cycle for DVD Menus before they start over...

Then select that "movie" for the preview file.

Something like this:

I have a Zipline Movie so I Show Settings and Select File:

Pick the Movie File I want to use:

That file shows in the Menu but my Movie plays when selected:

That is why I asked in post 4 if the poster was using a video file or a project file. He didn't respond clearly.

Yes the OP is not clear in his responses. He is creating a slideshow video so it is very easy to change the image in the menu box to any one of the slides in his show (or in fact to any other slide image he has) by using the settings/file option. Jim and I told him how to do that. As far as I can tell there is no video involved at all.

I know, not the best questions but he probably does not understand what we were after ;)

Even a "slideshow" will still perform that way if you break it down or he just wants ONE picture he can make it into a movie and Trim it to the time he needs.

I just didn't want him to get frustrated and give up.
