Re-Install Of Downloaded File

CDN

Question

I am having a similar problem after installing a new anti-virus program - VideoWave stopped working. I purchased my software online, so do not have a back-up disk. Any thoughts on where that downloaded file would be OR the name of the downloaded file so that I can re-install/repair?

I'm guessing you're talking about some variant of Roxio Creator NXT 2.

Search your machine for exe files starting with Creator NXT.

It's prudent to keep your software downloads somewhere secure, preferably with a copy off-machine, since if you lose them or your hard drive dies then you have to buy the software again.

Here are the filenames of my downloaded NXT 2 Pro:

21-Sep-2013 03:41 1,384,110,376 Creator_NXT_2_Content.exe

21-Sep-2013 02:55 1,383,315,752 Creator_NXT_Pro_2.exe

21-Sep-2013 03:17 1,186,625,832 Creator_NXT_Pro_2_Part_2.exe

Thank you! I appreciate your response and have created a back-up on DVD.

I found the file and re-installed/repaired, but unfortunately it didn't fix the problem. When trying to open VideoWave, it immediately tells me VideoWave has stopped working. No error code. I can't find any discussion that has suggestions at this point. This started after a new anti-virus program was installed, so I'm lost on how to resolve the problem.

Okay, this topic [Re-install of downloaded file] is done, so we can close it.

I'd suggest you start a fresh topic titled perhaps "Installed antivirus and Videowave stopped working". That will catch the interest of those who can help you.

You should say what the Antivirus program is, and give as much detail about what happened as you can. You should also mention there, if removing and cleaning out the antivirus program restored the function of Videowave.

Brendon
