Vhs To Dvd 3 -- Does It Work With Windows 8.1?

Heagneypr

Question

I purchased VHS to DVD 3 last night and installed the software this morning on a computer with Wndows 8.1. And ... bupkus! The intro screen comes up to show that Windows has recognized the software, but the rotating circle of death just spins and spins and spins until I have to shut down the program. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software twice, but the same thing. Does VHS to DVD 3 even work with Windows 8.1?

It appears your install did not go well... FOLLOW this:

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your Roxio Capture Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

Hopefully that will put it back in order. Let us know ;)

Hi,

I asked customer support and was told they no longer gave support to this version and that it did not work with Windows 8.1. Very upset about that since I never got it to work on my old computer (XP) since I bought the darn thing. I don't have Internet so getting updates is out of the question unless I can get it elsewhere to put on a key. Will continue to search for this option. Thank you
