Question

Hi im new to Roxio and i edited a movie which im wanting to send the file off over the net, and was wondering how this is done. all i know about dmsm files are that they are just instructions to tell the program what bits to play off your movie file from what i am guessing, but what i need to know is, is there a way to save your file to a mp3 file say so i can send it or am i going to have to burn the finished prodject to disc then copy it to a seperate file then send it.

ANY ONE HELP ME ON THIS

MP3 files are audio files and have nothing to do with video files.

I am not sure what you mean by "sending over the net"? as e-mail, uploading to a website?

Like Walt said, you don;t explain what you mean by send the file over the internet. That could mean many things.

In any case, you are correct about the .dmsm file in VideoWave. What you will need to do is output your production to a video file. You do that by clicking on the little siver disc that looks like a movie reel at the top of the production window, or go to File -> Output Production... to get to the "Make Movie" window.

Since you are going to email this, or "send it over the internet" in some other fashion, on that window I suggest you click on the Email button, then output as a Windows Media, Normal Quality or Better Quality file. You may want to try both and see which one you like the looks of better. this will create a <filename>.wmv file that windows media player can play. A 2 minute video at Normal will be about 4mb, and at Better about 12mb.
