Question

I have Creator Pro 2010.

I have a DVD player that supports HD Divx dvds.

No, I'm afraid not.

MyDVD in Creator 2010 Pro creates standard Video-DVDs with MPEG content, and has no ability to burn/save that output as a DivX file.

Thank you, that's what I thought.

You could use C2010 to create an video file and then use a 3rd party software (such as Freemake) to convert to DivX.

What other formats does your DVD player support? Perhaps C2010 can convert to one of those.

I was wanting to avoid having to buy a blu-ray player, but still wanted the HD video, my current dvd player has a HDMI port and supports divx.

I was just wondering though.

Software such as the old Easy Media Creator 10 [EMC 10] used the Video Copy and Convert module to create DivX files, but over the past few years Creator's support for DivX has been removed - which is a bit strange seeing that DivX is extremely popular and knowing that Roxio bought DivX.com

However, http://www.divx.com/ is offering free players and file converters, so it would be worth your while to have a look there.
