I'm looking for a full featured photo utility. If you are familar with each, which one do recommend and why.

If you are looking at nothing but a photo editor, you are looking in the wrong place, if you would not use any other part of the suite. You should probably do a little reading about both products that you listed. You will find that EMC 7, 8, or 9, are suites of different programs.

 

The only part of 8 and 9, that I use for actual photo editing, is the "Create Panorama" program. There is nothing out there that seamlessly blends pictures together like that program. It is far and away the best program that I have ever used for "stitching" photos.

 

I do use PhotoSuite once in awhile, and it seems to be okay, but is limited in its functions.
