Reinstalling Creator 2009

louise44

Question

I had previously installed Creator 2009 but last year had my computer updated so took this programme off. On trying to reinstall it everything went ok but when trying to open it nothing happens. I have always had Windows XP so nothing has changed from originally installing this in 2009. Any ideas on what I can do now in order to use this programme would be appreciated.

What do you mean "nothing happens"? Did you have your virus software, or heaven forbid, your registry cleaner, running while you installed it?

I had nothing running at the time. On the list of programmes that were installed Roxio showed up ok but nothing happened when I tried to open this so am not sure what to do next. Someone did suggest downloading an uninstaller from Roxio but 2009 seems to be an old version and doesn't seem to be supported by Roxio.

Explain exactlyt what you are doing. "nothing happened" really tells us nothing.

Roxio does not have an uninstaller so I don't know what you are referring to. Yes C2009 is a very old program and no longer supported by Roxio.

There are always all sorts of programs running in the background such as antivirus checkers, etc. without you being aware of them.

You could try a very good uninstaller such as the free "Revo Uninstaller" and run it in the "moderate" mode. Here is the link
