So I've had my Roxio game capture HD pro for awhile now and I could never fix this problem. I want to record my xbox 360 gameplay for youtube. Although, whenever I plug HDMI cables into both sides and connect them to my tv and xbox and turn on my xbox it shows a black screen with two flashing blue stripes. Please help. I've made sure I connected them into the correct spots.

Oddly enough, it doesn't matter where you plug in the HDMI - either side will work

 

But for testing, leave the TV out of it. Plug in the HDMI to the Input side and see what happens.

 

If it does the same thing, then get something else, like a DVD or BD Player, that has hdmi output and plug it in in place of your Xbox to see if the device and software work
