It simply is not going to work...

Convert it to mts, m2ts, mp4 or any of the common standard files, then it will work!

Future: Set Dxtroy to use a common format OR just use the Roxio Capture app ;)

Thanks for your answer Jim_Hardin. I really apreciate it. Would you be so kind as to recomend a convert sofware that is free to use?

I have an .avi file that i captured on my PC using dxtory. When i try to edit it on VideoWave i recive error mesagges.

Is there anything i can do, or VideoWave just don't suport .avi editing?

Thanks a lot,

Daniel

Yes, Videowave supports avi (mainly DV avi) but not all types.

What kind of avi file (there are several 100 variations): DV, DivX, Xvid, or what? From what source are you capturing?

It would help if you were to supply some information such as what were the error messages. What is dxtory? Don't assume everyone knows what you are talking about

Sorry myguggi, you are right.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

1) dxtory is a capture software used for capturing PC gameplay.

2) Acording to gspot, the codec of the ,avi file i'm trying to load is LAGS. Thats the type of .avi file? (aparently LAGS sands for Lagarith Lossless)

3) Errors: -When trying to load .avi file i't wont load and the error mesage will say: "can't load file because the fiel can't be edited."

-In other ocations the same file has load but at some point when editing an error mesage will say something like: "can't performe xxx task because there are no video file loaded" (for some reason now i just get the first error)

Daniel

PS: sorry for spelling, gramar and translation mistakes, english is not my native languege.
