Roxio Cineplayer Bd 3D Cant Play 3D Movies

I been having problem with Roxio Cineplayer Bd 3D ever seens stop updating I have Asus g7sw laptop which was buddle with it when got it in the computer I would like to watch 3D movies again I saw on the website you can buy it for 29.99 but don't know if is same one I have.

Look elsewhere. The BD protection schemes have changed several times and the Roxio program hasn't been updated as frequently. Look at the Corel offerings. I think there is a trial version (here).

I don't see where say it plays Bd it should in order to play it in 3d cant on dvd I already download the trail for Corel Windvd pro 11 I might buy I soon unless can find one cheaper.

I'd like to protest at this way of conducting business.

 

I too had cineplayer bundled with my 3d laptop and the programme was ideal for playing 2d movies in 3d in real time. Now the programme is unusable - let me rephrase - one of the primary reasons why I brought this particular laptop has suddenly been removed without any warning (and if I want that back I may 'ownly' have to spend another 150 dollars).

 

Is there any way Ipeople like myself can upgrade for free (in view of the fact that cineplayer is no longer being updated). Is there any other programme out there which offers the same capability?

As you may not know, this is a users group and not Roxio/Corel Tech Support or Sales. You would need to talk to one of those to really register your protest and to see what kind of deal you can work out.

 

Corel (Who owns Roxio and Pinnacle) has Win DVD Pro 11 on sale for less than $50 (US). I don't know how active Corel is in updating for new security schemes.

I'm not sure what you are suggesting? How does running in an emulation mode get around the security issues with newer commercial DVDs?

I don't know for sure, but I wonder if in post #7 when he said

iSay was actually complaining that he had changed his Operating System and the bundled program he got free wasn't working any more.

 

Perhaps he can now make it run in XP compatibility mode?

Changing the OS is not a sudden and unexpected loss of some programs and functions. The title of this thread is that the program won't play (newer) 3D movies because there are no updates (I agree with this). I'm not sure how emulation would give you back the ability to play the 3D movies. I use a different DVD software player package and it is updated periodically.

 

The newer Creator versions don;t even have the CinePlayer Bd function.

I didn't change the operating system, but changes are constantly being made by others. It's alarming to be confronted with a programme, that has always worked from time of purchase (of the laptop) without any change in settings on my part, and which just suddenly stops working.

 

Let me emphasize that I use the programme to run 2d video clips in 3d - which is not quite the same as running 3d movies from dvd.

 

And it's 'until otherwise' 'coz I've only just stumbled on that as a workaround. It's an easy solution in my case and I'm sure ther's no harm in trying compatibilty mode - either it works or it doesn't.

 

Hopefully it will help others - there's another similar thread on wrong file formats which was the error message that kept popping up every time I tried to play a clip.

Actually it would have been better if you would have wasted more space but in your own thread. Your issue and solution may or may not have been helpful to the original poster (Chris60). By posting in his thread that is almost 6 months old, we (or at least I) thought that you just threadjacked to describe your issue.and were asking for help with your problem.

 

Apparently, you were suggesting a fix for Chris that worked for you on audio issues but were 6 months late.
