Software Does Not Work

bunnylove

Question

Reviving this old topic because I am having the same problem and none of the above helped what so ever. Recently my computer did not turn off correctly, turned back on and said "Repairing", after which everything APPEARED to be ok. I ran a few things to make sure everything was ok. Everything but 1 program and Roxio Game Capture HD Pro software worked, and once I click on "Capture" it loads up, and then says it has stopped working. I unplug the USB and it loads up just fine, plug it back in and it stops working again. I have tryed other programs as well, could this be a problem with my USB? Or is it my capture card? If it is the USB, could someone PM/Post a link as to where I could get one/what the name of the USB is called so I can find and purchase a new one? If it is the capture card then I am not buying a new one.

Repair it???

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

It finally gave me the option to repair after 8 times of putting it back in my disc tray, all it was doing was uninstalling and reinstalling but finally gave me the option to repair and I did what you said but no luck here chief.

IT doesn't do anything except start the installer and stop until YOU click an option to Repair or Uninstall

If it doing things on its' own, you have something else running your pc!

There is nothing else running my PC it is perfectly fine, but the fact of the matter is I did do the repair and it did not help.

I'm just not gonna bother anymore, the support system so far does not seem worth my time and I guess I will just give up on Roxio all together.

Well, the folks here, who are volunteers not affiliated with Roxio, tried to help you. Sorry it didn't work out.
