Can Not Burn Data Disc's

Creator NXT has been working great then one day it started not verifying disc's. I would get the error "other programs running try again" and now nothing will burn I get the error

 

"There was a problem writing to disk. You can try again by clicking the retry button. You will need another blank disc ready"

I have tried dvd-r and dvd+ dl from different companies and I always get the same. Any help.

Try using Windows to burn your data to disc. (Drag the files onto the drive.) If you get the same, or similar error, it's likely that your drive has failed and it's a hardware issue, not a software problem.

When the error code is all zeros, there are many cases where the error code the drive produces is not received by the application due to an unstable connection or interference from running programs.

 

What other programs are running?

 

Check Task Manager for running applications and how many processes are running?

I never usually run any other programs when I burn a disk. My task manger says

 

Background Processes (57)

Windows Processes (21)

 

I used the Roxio drag and drop (Roxio Burn Drive) and that worked for both dvd-r and dvd dl
