Can you shut down (fully) Cakewalk during the capture. It may have set some audio codecs to what it wants rather than what Roxio uses. I don't really know if that will work or if you have to reinstall the software to get the right codecs back.

 

Are you doing regular maintenance on your hard drive - get rid of junk and temporary files, get rid of program you no longer use and most important -defrag. Here are some tools that wok better than the ones in Windows (link).
