Mp4 To Dvd?

I am a new iMac/Toast user...Can someone take pity on me and give me step by step idiot proof directions on how to convert and burn MP4 files to DVD? I want to create DVD discs that will be playable on normal, home DVD players...So far, I have not been able to figure it out...Thanks for your help!

I'm presuming you chose the DVD video setting in the Toast Video window. That is correct. It's a lot of work for a processor to reduce high-definition video to the lower resolution of standard definition DVD. That's why it is slow. If you haven't yet maxed out the RAM in your Mac adding more memory can speed things up a little.

I figured out how to do it, but it is extremely slow in converting...Like, 3% in 15 minutes...Am I doing something wrong? Thanks again...
