Problem With Source Material Code 18871

richocam

Question

Every time i try to make a blu-ray disc I get error 18871, i have tried .mov, H264 and mp4 files. Some times I get 1% into the encode while some formats get further.

Does anyone know the solution?

Roxio (lack of) support doesn't have any information on error 18871 and it's hard to contact support, you end up is a spiral of death going in circles. Google shows I am not alone but Roxio can't help.

Roxio support is rubbish. I will NEVER waste my money ever again on a roxio product because of the lack of support.

I found a few posts mentioning the 18871 error in the Toast 10 forum but nothing that gives a solution. If you aren't choosing Save as Disc Image definitely do that instead of clicking the burn button. You might try reinstalling Toast. What application is creating the video file you're adding to Toast?
