Working On One Xbox 360, Not The Other

I have a few capture cards. Two xbox 360s. Have capture on both of them many times. Now suddenly only one is able to capture. The other one says No Signal, no matter what I try. It still works connected to a tv, and I've tried every connection that works on the other xbox. Even the same computer. Only thing I can think of is maybe a setting got changed on the one Xbox, because literally everything else works(cables, Roxio software, capture cards, computer) the only thing that isn't matching up is the xbox, and it has worked many times before as I said. Why am I suddenly getting no signal?

Isn't there an Auto Sense setting for output in the Xbox 360???

 

If set to that it won't work!

 

Also consider that the output on that unit has failed - unless it still works on a TV or Monitor

I was saying signal lose from cords longer than 3ft/1m

Tried it with auto sense on AND off, neither way worked. And yes, it still works perfectly fine on a tv, that's what baffles me.

There is still Signal Strength to consider...

 

If you are using a long USB or long HDMI to the RGC???

What colour is the "No Signal" Red or Green?.

It is a red No Signal.

What happens if you interchange the 360 that works and put in the other capture card.

 

Also take the one that does not work and plug it in the other capture card....in other words inter- exchange the 360's, its the easiest test.

I plug the one into a capture card, open up Roxio software, and it says No Signal, unplug that HDMI cable from the xbox and put it in the other, and it works fine. Of the 3 capture cards, Xbox #1 works every time and Xbox #2 gets no signal.

 

And I have both systems set to 720p, the setting that previously worked.

So what you are saying is you have 3 capture cards......Xbox #1 works on ALL three and Xbox#2 does not work on ANY.... conclusion, Xbox #2 is the problem

 

Try comparing the settings of the 2 Xbox's and see if you can find what is different.

I'm not sure what else would be the problem besides display settings though. I've checked, both are set for 720p HDMI Widescreen display. What else could be different that's affecting it?

So are you saying to consider, longer cord = less signal strength?

 

If so, nope, the cord(s) I used were probably at MOST 3 feet.
