After starting Media Import (Easy Media Creator 9) with a DVC 90 attached, and then exiting Media Import, the "MediaCapture9.exe" process continues to be present (as reported by Windows Task Manager on Windows XP Pro SP2). Most importantly, when I then start another application (e.g., Microsoft Word 2003), that application enters a "Not Responding" state and cannot be terminated by the Task Manager. Only by restarting the PC am I able to restore it to a proper operating condition.
What is the procedure for properly exiting Media Import so that it terminates correctly?
