Sound 3-4 sec. behind video only after rendering

TCvideo

Question

I have issues with the audio tracks starting 3 to 4 seconds after the video with EMC 8 only after I render the final file. I use the Output function of vidieowave.

The original video captures done with the Software are perfect.

When editing with Videowave all scenes and the entire final production preview in perfect sync.

The audio comprises of the Native track and an added Music track.

I have tried almost every combination of Codec, compression, Screen size large , small etc. in all cases my video is ahead of the audio.

What's UP!

I have turned off every program I can to no avail ... It also seems that this is a chronic situation with this software ... System is XP Pro with 1 gb ram on a Dell Dimension 8300

Is there a solution or do I have to get some other companies software?

Sometimes there are easy solutions, but sometimes there are not. Did you output your production, from VideoWave, to an .mpeg or .avi file? If so, try just saving your production in VideoWave and closing it, then open MyDVD, and bring your production in, and burn it to an image (ISO) file, and not to disc.

Once the ISO is finished encoding, close out of MyDVD, open Disc Copier, and burn your ISO to a disc there. Hopefully, it will be in sync.

Tried and Failed ... Again the Preview in MyDVD was in sync. when the ISO file was created and copied to Disk ... the same 3 to 4 sec audio lag was present ...

I have trouble beliving that memory is an issue ... Even with small files (100mb) the sync is off...

Interesting to note... The Audio card is Creative using a Dell installed Video capture card / device. The system came with Roxio Videowave "Dell Movie Creator(OEM) and worked OK except I wanted to upgrade to 8 to enable more sophisticated slide shows and videos

Go figure!

I have no idea what to do next, even tried to upload the Hotfix for mpeg files but the .dll coulnd not be found error popped up so I have no Idea what that may have done?

Thanks

Well ... I also recieved an answer to an help ticket from Roxio and I followed all the suggestions (defrag, close down everything, stop as many background processes as possible, use MsConfig to stop startups etc)

Well it did not help.

Then I contacted My Video Board Manufacturure and updated all the Drivers ... Did not change anything !

Fianally, contacted Creative for the latest Soundblaster drivers and also reloaded upgrades to all the Creative software ... Took Hours

So bottom line ... after all that ..

The sound matchs the video on the final DVD ! Now isn't that special! We have succeeded...

Now Problem #2 ...

The Video on the PC, when played with any of the DVD players on my computer looks ok, although less sharp and somewhat less smooth in motion than the Hi8 original.

But ... When played on a DVD Player through a TV, any high speed motion (Fast moving dancers for example) is very jerky and not at all plesant or acceptable. It's as if the Mpeg Codec was compressing way to much or pooly for high speed objects.

I used the best encoding and made sure the MPG capture setting were duplicated in the rendering settings of MPEG 2 w/9.0 bitrate.

What could be wrong now ?

Any help would be appriciated.
