Roxio Capture Hd Pro Only Capturing 1 Second

So, I bought the HD pro about a week ago, and it worked fine for about a day or so. However, then it started acting weird. I would go to capture my ps4 gameplay, but when I hit "Start Capture", it only does so for about a second, then the preview goes black for a second, comes back on, and stops the capture. It says it is still capturing in the "Status" portion though. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix for it?

What happened when you tried Jim's suggestion in Post #2?

I have seen this happen... The black screen and hesitation is 'normal' when you start or stop capture.

 

I think I resolved my by re-booting the PC

 

Plan B would be to do a proper repair:

 

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

 

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

 

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

 

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

 

When you reach the screen where

Repair

is offered, choose that!

 

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.
